A Manitowoc man was arrested after driving erratically, claiming to be god.
Manitowoc Police Officers were dispatched to the intersection of South 11th and Marshal Streets at 4:30 Monday evening to investigate a reckless driving claim, where the caller noted that he had returned home to find a vehicle parked at the northbound stop sign.
When he approached the vehicle, he recognized the driver as a man who had a restraining order for an individual who lived nearby.
When he asked the 37-year-old man to leave, he allegedly leaned his seat back and claimed to be God, so he wasn’t scared of him calling the police.
The witness supplied surveillance video, which confirmed everything he said and showed the man squealing his tires and parking at the stop sign for over five minutes.
When police addressed the suspect, he again claimed to be God, stomped his foot, and asked if the officers could hear the dinosaurs.
The man was arrested on charges of Violating a Harassment Restraining Order, and two counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
He was also arrested in September for Violating a Harassment Restraining Order and Felony Bail Jumping, and also has an open case for Disorderly Conduct and Felony Bail Jumping.
