The Manitowoc Police Department wants to teach you more about police work.
Applications are being accepted for the 2026 Citizens Academy, which will run from February 24th through April 21st.
The academy is designed to reach out to members of our community and invite them to learn more about the Manitowoc Police Department.
Academy classes will be instructed by personnel of the Manitowoc Police Department, who will be open, honest, and candid about their duties and experiences as law enforcement officers.
Class discussion will be encouraged.
Classroom lectures will be kept to a minimum in order to maximize the “hands-on” practical exercises.
The classes cover topics including use of force, firearms, traffic stops, OWI investigations, building searches, crime scene investigations, internet sex predators, and more.
For more information or to get an application, visit Manitowoc.org or email Crime Prevention Sergeant Paul Krock at PKrock@Manitowoc.org.
