The Town of Sheboygan Fire Department is preparing to reflect and honor one of its own after a deadly crash last week.
It’s been about a week since Firefighter Tom Diener passed away in Indiana following a motor vehicle crash with two other firefighters.
On Monday (December 15th), members of the Town of Sheboygan and Oshkosh Fire Departments made the “somber drive” to bring Tom home.
The department is also thanking those who’ve reached out and shown their support during such a tragic time.
In reflection, the Town of Sheboygan Fire Department says, “Tom always pushed for us to be the best for you, and now your support and keeping you all safe is what keeps us going. We know Tom would want us to get back on the trucks and go to the next call, and that is what we will continue to do.”
The Department has set up a donation page through the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin Charitable Foundation.
Over 200 people have supported the page, which includes a $1,000 donation from the Oshkosh Firefighters Charitable Trust.
The Town of Sheboygan Fire Department closed by saying that they appreciate everyone’s kind words, prayers, and support.
