A suspect has been arrested in a vehicle theft case from earlier this month in Kewaunee County.
The theft occurred on December 5th, and during the initial investigation, the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Office identified James Nys of Wausaukee as a person of interest.
Nys had taken a truck on a test drive and never returned.
This was not his first time doing this, as he was the suspect in a similar case in Delta County, Michigan.
The Marinette County Sheriff’s Department and City of Marinette Police Department located Nys on Thursday, December 10th, and he was taken into custody.
He has since been charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle without the Owner’s Consent, but the case is still open, as investigators are trying to determine if there are any other additional instances in other jurisdictions.
