Two men charged with abducting a teen in Two Rivers and trying to take her to California were given cash bails yesterday.
A $500,000 cash bail was set by Court Commissioner Patricia Koppa for both 22-year-old Alexcer Solis Gomez and 33-year-old Pedro Perez Giron during their bail hearing yesterday (December 18th).
Both are also to have no contact with the victim or her family, maintain absolute sobriety, and cannot have contact with each other.
Koppa explained that the charge that both men face and the seriousness of the case had her set the bail the way she did.
The two were arrested in Wyoming and have been extradited back to Manitowoc County to face charges of abduction of a child.
Back in November, Two Rivers Police were called to check on the 16-year-old girl after her family reported she was missing.
A criminal complaint alleges that officers entered a partially opened door after witnesses say the girl left with a friend.
However, other witnesses said that the girl left with a Hispanic male in a car with California license plates.
Eventually with help from the FBI and other state agencies, the vehicle was located and the 16-year-old was found.
Solis Gomez says he was paid by Perez Giron to take the girl to California to see her boyfriend.
The case remains under investigation.
