A new option for mental health care is now available in the City of Plymouth.
Calming Waters Family Therapy has recently opened its doors at 623 East Mill Street, Suite 3, and is now accepting appointments.
Calming Waters aims to be an affordable and solution-based clinic designed to be restorative for those experiencing a sudden disruption in their mental health.
The clinic is led by Chief Mental Health Therapist Donna Schelfhout, who has three decades of experience. When discussing the services Calming Waters Family Therapy now offers, Schelfhout said, “We provide affordable, solution-focused therapy modalities designed to restore mental health in the short term, so our clients can return to enjoying their lives or create better ones for themselves.”
They will work with individuals and couples who are experiencing anxiety, PTSD, depression, autism, ADHD, and any combination of these diagnoses.
With the significant rise in health care costs across the country, Schelfhout also noted, “We can help you, whether you have insurance or not. We work to be the affordable care our neighbors need to face their own mental health challenges effectively.”
