A Sturgeon Bay man has been arrested for his 5th OWI.
The Wisconsin State Patrol pulled over a white Ford Ranger just after 8:45 a.m. yesterday (December 17th) in Marinette County after a concerned person called saying the truck was all over the road and stopped in traffic twice.
A state trooper saw the vehicle travelling northbound on State Highway 180 and conducted a traffic stop because of multiple lane violations.
60-year-old Richard James Husbeck allegedly handed drug paraphernalia to the trooper when contact was made on the driver’s side.
WSP also attempted to do a field sobriety test, but, because of Husbeck’s impairment, it couldn’t be completed.
The 60-year-old was arrested and charged with operating while under the influence of a 5th offense, possession of THC, a 2nd offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Husbeck was taken to the Marinette County Jail after getting an evidentiary blood draw.
