A Fond du Lac man was arrested on felony drug charges following a routine traffic stop.
An officer with the Fond du Lac Police Department pulled over 39-year-old Dewayne E. Atterberry last week, Thursday, and realized he had an active warrant for his arrest.
While being booked into the Fond du Lac County Jail, cocaine was located on his person, leading to a further search of his residence in the area of Thomas and North Hickory Streets.
In total, investigators located marijuana, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and packaging materials consistent with the sale and distribution of illegal drugs.
Charges were officially filed on Monday, including Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Deliver Designer Drugs, Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place, Felony Bail Jumping, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Lieutenant Nick Hahn said of the arrest, “The Fond du Lac Police Department will not tolerate drug trafficking activity in our community. We will continue to aggressively pursue those who choose to distribute illegal drugs, particularly repeat offenders, and hold them fully accountable through the criminal justice system.”
