The woman who supplied the drugs that killed her boyfriend has been sentenced.
FOX11 reports that 43-year-old Stacie Girling was ordered to spend seven years in prison, followed by 15 years on extended supervision by Judge Samanth Wagner.
Girling was also ordered to pay over $9,000 in restitution for her role in the death of Travis Lambert in 2023.
EMS responded to his home in Howard in March of that year, but despite life-saving efforts, Lambert would succumb to “toxic effects of fentanyl.”
Witnesses interviewed during the investigation claimed Girling had left the residence to get the drug earlier in the day.
When police spoke with her, Girling stated multiple times that she did not kill him.
She was found guilty due to no contest pleas on charges of First-Degree Reckless Homicide-Deliver Drugs, and Possession of Narcotic Drugs in October.
