Volunteers are needed to finish placing wreaths on the gravesites of veterans in Two Rivers.
American Legion Auxiliary Unit 165 was out placing the wreaths as part of Wreaths Across America on Saturday, but due to the cold temperatures, not all of the wreaths were placed.
The Unit thanked those who came out to help, but stated, “The safety of the volunteers was paramount, so the event was called off early.”
They will be back out at the Forest View Cemetery on Wednesday to make sure the rest of the veterans buried there will be honored with a wreath.
Volunteers are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m., wearing warm boots and clothing, and are asked to bring a shovel to help clear out the headstones.
