A former winter staple of the Plymouth community is set to reopen after an 11-year closure.
Nutt Hill Winter Park is hosting its grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony today (December 16th) at 3:00 p.m.
Plymouth Mayor Don Phlman will be on hand, as will Cheese Capital Winter Park President Joe Van Derven and Mary Hauser, Plymouth Chamber Executive Director, while many other community leaders and residents will be in attendance to celebrate the ski hill’s return.
Additionally, the first 100 guests in attendance for the ceremony will receive free hot cocoa, while the Plymouth Panther and Nutty the Squirrel mascots will be the first to race down the tubing hills.
After the ceremony at 3:30 p.m., the tubing and ski hills will officially open to the public; however, only those who purchased tickets online for today will be able to tube, ski, or snowboard.
The Nutt Hill revitalization project has been 100% community-funded and looks to bring more winter recreation opportunities to Sheboygan County at the once prominent hill.
Those looking to buy tickets and hit the slopes today or at any time during the winter months can do so by visiting nutthillwinterpark.com.
