There is only one meeting today (December 15th) in the City of Two Rivers.
The City Council will be in the Council Chambers at 6:00 p.m., where they will hear input from the public. After appointing Chief Inspectors, Election Inspectors, and Special Voting Deputies for the 2026-2027 election, the council will continue a holiday tradition and authorize the turning off of the street lights along downtown Washington Street from 5:00 p.m. to midnight on Christmas Eve.
The Council will also consider a request for a waiver from the City’s sex offender residency restrictions.
That request is expected to be denied.
They will also continue discussing a proposed amendment to the section of the Municipal Code related to building permit fees, which was tabled at the November 17th meeting.
They will also enter a closed session to conduct employee reviews and to discuss some pending or imminent litigation.
