An Outagamie County man has been convicted for an attack on a teenage boy earlier this year.
WBAY reports that 65-year-old James Beilfuss was in front of Outagamie County Judge Mark McGinnis on Friday, where he pleaded guilty to a charge of Strangulation and Suffocation.
He was then sentenced to two years of probation while charges of Battery and Disorderly Conduct were dismissed, but read into the record.
He was arrested in April after an incident at Wally’s Seymour Bowling Alley, which Beilfuss owns.
He and a 13-year-old boy he was coaching had gotten into an argument, which led to the teen cursing at Beilfuss.
He responded by putting his hands around the teen’s neck.
Beilfuss was also ordered to write an apology letter to the victim and the Seymour community, have no other contact with the victim, and attend anger management classes.
