
The next chapter of a classic Manitowoc County rivalry will be written tonight.
Roncalli will host Two Rivers in an EWC boys’ basketball game tonight, looking to remain undefeated.
The Jets were pushed Tuesday night at New Holstein, having to come from eight points down at halftime to win 64 to 58. Sharpshooting junior guard Max Gulseth scored half of the Jets’ 64 points thanks to nine made three-point shots. Senior Donovan Cowley is off to a blistering start, averaging 33 points while shooting 62.5% from the floor and grabbing 8 rebounds per game.
Senior Noah Shillcox leads the Raiders by scoring 14.3 points per game, while senior Dayton Glandt leads Two Rivers in assists and is second on the team in scoring and rebounding. The Raiders are looking for their second win this week after winning at Sheboygan Falls on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, Manitowoc Lincoln looks to improve to 3 and 1 on the season as they travel to Sheboygan North to take on the Golden Raiders. This is the FRCC opener for both teams as the Ships trounced Green Bay West on Monday night, while Sheboygan North has non-conference wins against Port Washington and Plymouth to start the season.
Elsewhere, Manitowoc Lutheran looks to snap a two-game losing streak at Mishicot, Valders hosts Sheboygan Falls, Kiel takes a short bus ride to New Holstein, Reedsville is home for Elkhart Lake/Glenbeulah, Brillion heads to Chilton, Denmark travels to Oconto Falls, Howards Grove hosts St. Mary Catholic as part of a boy-girl doubleheader, Sheboygan Lutheran hosts Providence Academy of Green Bay, Kohler entertains Cedarburg, Random Lake is at Oostburg and Cedar Grove/Belgium is home for Ozaukee.
Other games include Green Bay West at Winneconne, Green Bay East travels to Shawano, Green Bay Preble hosts Notre Dame, Green Bay Southwest welcomes De Pere, West De Pere travels to Pulaski, Ashwaubenon heads to Bay Port, Algoma is home for Sevastopol, Kewaunee hosts Oconto, Southern Door travels to Sturgeon Bay, Gibraltar entertains Peshtigo, Xavier plays at Menasha, and Wrightstown hits the road to play the Clintonville Truckers.
