After major snowstorms over the past two weeks, the Sheboygan Department of Public Works is reminding residents how to avoid missed pickups.
The DPW has said that snow, cold, or other winter weather conditions do not change your collection day for trash and recycling, and in the event of any delays, they would be announced by the City ahead of time.
As always, carts must be placed out on your day of collection by no later than 7:30 a.m., and must be retrieved from the curb or end of your driveway by 6:00 p.m.
As snow continues to accumulate, to ensure your trash isn’t missed, place the carts on a clear and level surface.
Never place them in or behind snowbanks, and leave at least four feet of space between the carts and other objects.
Sheboyganites are also asked to keep trash receptacles parallel to the curb or alley, and never place them in the street.
In the event of a curb being snow-covered, residents are directed to put their carts at the end of their driveway instead.
Following these simple steps will ensure you never miss your weekly curbside collection in Sheboygan during the winter months.
