The Manitowoc Lincoln girls basketball team was back on its home court last night, hosting Neenah at the JFK Fieldhouse.
It was a close one in the first half, but the Rockets would turn it on in the second half and take home a 74-62 win.
The Ships took a 30-29 lead into the break, thanks to a massive first half by Junior Point Guard Kendal Schmitz.
She knocked down a pair of three balls and went 2 for 2 at the free throw line to enter halftime with 12 points, however, the Rockets’ Rowan Klesmit exploded in the second half.
She tallied 21 points, including going a perfect 7 for 7 from the charity stripe, while fellow Senior Ellie Buss knocked down six threes, four of which came in the second half.
Sarah Bolchen led the way for the Ships with 21 points, including seven free throws and a pair of threes, while Schmitz added 19, and Taylor Peterson tallied 12.
The loss drops the Ships to 1-3, and they will host Sheboygan North tomorrow.
