A Reedsburg man is heading to prison for setting fire to the home of his ex-girlfriend’s family.
Christopher Steinmetz was recently sentenced to 30 years behind bars for the 2022 fire at the home in Lake Delton.
Prosecutors say five people were inside the home at the time, including three children, and had to escape from a second-floor window.
The family made it out, but a dog was killed, and the home was a total loss.
The 41-year-old was sentenced on charges of arson, criminal damage, and recklessly endangering safety.
