The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office is saying goodbye to two employees with nearly 60 years of service between the two of them.
The Sheriff’s Office has shared that Corrections Officer Tim Friberg and Debbie Mayer from the Court Services Division have both recently retired.
Last week, Corrections Officer Friberg called it a career with 24 years of combined service to the county, while Mayer retired with over 34 years of dedicated service.
In their announcement congratulating the two on their retirement, the Sheriff’s
Office explained that their success and the safety of the community are predicated on the long-term dedication of employees like Friberg and Mayer, stating, “We’re not thankful they are retiring, but we’re grateful for the many years of selfless service to our community…This sustained commitment is the foundation that allows us to build trust, refine our service, and protect our citizens consistently over time.”
They finished by saying that when staff remain dedicated for the long haul, the entire community benefits from this commitment to service.
