A Green Bay teen charged with bringing a gun to Preble High School was back in court yesterday (December 2nd).
WBAY reports the unnamed 17-year-old was found delinquent on a charge of Possession of Firearms on School Grounds.
In a legal context, being found delinquent is similar to a guilty verdict, in that it means a minor was found to have committed a crime beyond a reasonable doubt.
In September, a loaded handgun was found inside the teen’s backpack, which was inside a locked classroom.
The teen was ordered to remain at the Racine County Youth Development and Care Center until his 18th birthday, after which he will be released, and three other charges will be dropped.
For this to stand, he must remain in good standing in the program.
There will be restrictions placed on him upon his release as well.
