A former teacher at Plymouth High School facing child sexual assault charges is due in court this week.
43-year-old Marcie Zimmerman will be back inside a Fond du Lac courtroom tomorrow (December 4th) for her arraignment.
Zimmerman has been charged with two felony counts of Sexual Assault of Student by School Staff and one count of Exposing a Child to Harmful Material, along with two misdemeanour counts of Sexual Intercourse with a Child 16 or Older at Age 19 or Older.
The 43-year-old was arrested in August by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office after an investigation revealed that she had allegedly sexually assaulted and raped a since-graduated Plymouth student.
According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, Zimmerman, who taught in Sheboygan County, committed these alleged crimes within Fond du Lac County, where she resides.
According to Zimmerman’s LinkedIn page, prior to her time in the Plymouth School District, she also served as a teacher at Reedsville High School.
Since her arrest, Zimmerman has been confined to the Fond du Lac County Jail on a $250,000 cash bail.
