
Two Rivers High School honored a local military unit as they get ready to deploy.
On Sunday (November 30th) Bravo Battery, 1st Battalion 121st Field Artillery out of Two Rivers held a deployment ceremony at the school.
Present at the send-off ceremony were over 70 National Guard Soldiers, Command Sergeant Major Duane Weyer, Chief Warrant Officer Charles Mattison, Brigadier General Brion Aderman, and the keynote speaker, Major General Matthew Strub, the 32nd Adjutant General for the State of Wisconsin, who is responsible for overseeing more than 10,000 troops.
The USO of Wisconsin distributed bags filled with items for children, while the Sons of the American Legion provided stuffed animals to children and others in need.
School officials called it “a privilege for Two Rivers High School to be chosen for this meaningful ceremony,” and added, “We express our gratitude to those who serve our country.”
