A holiday tradition in the Village of Kohler is back for another festive end to the year.
The 29th annual Gingerbread Festival at the Waelderhaus (Wall-der-house) will return on Friday (November 28th) and run through December 30th.
Each year, the Gingerbread Festival brings along with it extended hours at the Waelderhaus, musical performances, and, of course, hand-made gingerbread creations made by area schools and other community groups.
During the festival, the Waelderhaus will be open Sunday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
During the duration of the festival, musical performances will be held at 2:00 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday, featuring local high school musical groups and others from throughout the community.
Admission to the festival is free of charge, and ADA amenities will be available for those in need.
Tours of the Waelderhaus, an Austrian-style home museum, will also be offered free of charge daily, at 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 p.m., except for holidays and during musical acts.
