Lakeshore College in Cleveland is celebrating the grand opening of its brand new Dental Clinic expansion.
Dozens gathered at the clinic for the grand unveiling yesterday, which showcased the state-of-the-art clinic and its enhanced classroom and lab space.
The $1.8 million learning environment fills a significant gap between the demand for and supply of oral healthcare professionals across the lakeshore area and beyond.
Top donors for the project included the West Foundation with a gift of $150,000 and Heartland Dental with a gift of $135,000.
This fall, Lakeshore College is training more Dental Assisting students and preparing to launch a new Dental Hygiene program.
Lakeshore College President Dr. Paul Carlsen called the ribbon cutting “an exciting day for Lakeshore College and the future of dental health education. We are grateful to our donors for making this opportunity possible for Lakeshore students who will have an impact on serving the future needs of our communities.”
