A man who blamed “devil music” for almost hitting someone with his car looks to be going to trial.
Court records show that 51-year-old Matthew Korth was back in Manitowoc County Court last week for further proceedings.
Judge Anthony Lambrecht has set a pre-trial conference for November 25th, while his jury trial is scheduled to start in December.
Korth faces charges, including second-degree recklessly endangering safety, disorderly conduct, and carrying a concealed knife, after an incident outside of a metal festival at PetSkull Brewing back in September.
Manitowoc Police arrested the 51-year-old after he allegedly was driving erratically in the 1700 block of Washington Street.
Officers say Korth started yelling about ‘devil music’ being played at the brewery and admitted to being near barricades by the concert.
A criminal complaint says he made a U-turn after he saw someone making the devil horns with his hands before Korth drove up on the sidewalk towards the individual, nearly hitting them before veering away.
