For the second year in a row, the Manitowoc Lutheran volleyball team has been crowned state champions.
In the Division 3 championship match, the lancer squared off against Watertown Lutheran Prep. at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon.
The Lancers jumped out in the first set, winning 25-20, but hit their first hurdle in the second set, falling 26-24.
The match was tight the rest of the way, with Manitowoc Lutheran winning the final two sets 25-23 and 25-21.
A welcome home ceremony is planned for 5:30 tonight at the school.
