Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport is not among the airports that will see a reduction in flights today.
US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy says flights will be reduced by ten percent at 40 airports nationwide due to the impacts of the federal government shutdown.
A Mitchell airport official told the Journal Sentinel travelers should still check with their airline to see if their flights are dealing with delays.
Duffy says the move is to help with air traffic controller shortages and to help the controllers deal with fatigue.
