A former teacher at Plymouth High School is set to return to court for allegedly sexually assaulting a student.
43-year-old Marcie Zimmerman will be inside a Fond du Lac County courtroom today (November 7th) for a preliminary hearing at 11:00 a.m. as she has been charged with felony counts of Sexual Assault of Student by School Staff and Exposing a Child to Harmful Material, and one misdemeanor count of Sexual Intercourse with a Child 16 or Older at Age 19 or Older.
The 43-year-old was arrested in August by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office after an investigation revealed that she had allegedly sexually assaulted a since-graduated Plymouth student.
While teaching in Sheboygan County, it’s said the alleged sex crimes against a child were committed in Fond du Lac County, where Zimmerman resides.
According to Zimmerman’s LinkedIn page, prior to her time in the Plymouth School District, she also served as an agricultural teacher at Reedsville High School.
Since her arrest, Zimmerman has been confined to the Fond du Lac County Jail on a $250,000 cash bail.
