A busy highway in Sheboygan County has reopened after an extensive closure.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has shared that State Highway 32 between Sheboygan Falls and Cedar Grove has reopened to traffic after a closure that lasted over 200 days.
Since March 31st, crews have been out weekly replacing existing culverts, adding new culverts, and conducting milling and overlay work along a nearly 10-mile stretch of 32.
While work is yet to be entirely completed, the roadway has been reopened, and the detour has been removed.
This week, crews will continue installing permanent pavement markings throughout the entire length of the project.
As work continues, traffic will be controlled with flagging operations.
