
The NEW Manufacturing Alliance honored several educators and manufacturers at its 14th annual Excellence in Manufacturing/K-12 Partnerships Awards this week.
On Tuesday, the organization celebrated Manufacturing Month with the awards ceremony at the Resch Expo Center, where five education awards, five manufacturer awards, and a community partnership award were handed out.
Marinette High School received the Brighter Image Award, while the Career Pathmaker Awards went to Joe Ciontea of WTEA, Cyndi Pavelski from Inspire Wisconsin – CESA 6, and Oshkosh Area School District Tech Ed Teacher Max Garvey.
Earning the Higher Education Award was James B. Mathews from the College of Menominee Nation & Clintonville High School.
Eagle Performance Plastics was honored with the Brighter Image Manufacturing Award, while Amcor was celebrated for its Educational Partnership, and the Leadership award went to A to Z Machine Co.
Russ Nowak of D&S Machine Service, Inc. received the Visionary Award, and LaForce earned the Youth Apprenticeship Award.
Closing out the awardees were Envision Greater Fond du Lac & Project G.R.I.L.L., which received the Community Partnership Award.
The 15th annual Manufacturing First Expo & Conference will be held on October 29th, 2026, again at the Resch Expo.
