A new name has thrown his hat into the ring to represent Wisconsin’s 6th Congressional District.
Brad Smith, a Wisconsin National Guard veteran, business leader, and advocate for middle-class families, has announced his candidacy for the seat currently held by Glenn Grothman.
The Mequon man says he is running “because the Wisconsin I love, the one that gave my family a vibrant future, is slipping away.”
His platform is based on “affordable healthcare, good jobs with fair wages, and real access to education.”
In the announcement, Smith emphasized a “bipartisan, problem-solving approach, focused on practical solutions that make life more affordable for Wisconsin families.”
Smith will officially launch his campaign in Port Washington on Wednesday with an event at Inventors Bre Pub.
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m.
