The Sheboygan County Food Bank is getting an early start to its largest giving campaign of the year.
The Food Bank has launched its 2025 Year-End Giving Match Campaign early, as food uncertainty rises while the federal government shutdown continues, threatening to leave hungry families without the means to feed themselves.
Regarding the early start, Food Bank Executive Director Patrick Boyle stated, “With community support and Black Spring Foundation kindly giving us the go-ahead to start their incredible year-end match a little early, we can always be ready to answer that call alongside our dedicated partner organizations.”
Now through December 31st, those looking to help neighbors in need can donate with the Black Spring Foundation matching donations from both new donors and those who have not given since 2022.
Additionally, any returning donors who are upping the amount they give this year will have that increased amount matched as well.
Starting the campaign early this year comes as FoodShare benefits are being delayed across the country, which will leave approximately 12,000 Sheboygan County residents without the benefits they need to put food on their tables.
Those looking to donate and have their money doubled can do so by visiting sheboygancountyfoodbank.com or by mailing a check addressed to Sheboygan County Food Bank, 3115 North 21st Street, Suite #1, Sheboygan.
The goal is to raise $500,000 before the end of the year.
