A Madison woman convicted of killing her mother will spend the rest of her life committed to a mental health institution.
Sierra Schoonover received the sentence on Thursday.
This came after pleading not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect to first-degree homicide.
She was arrested in April after police found her mother, Heather Schoonover, dead from multiple stab wounds.
