Manitowoc Police are asking for the public’s help after a dog bit a juvenile.
The department says the incident happened at 4:00 p.m. Monday (October 27th) when a white male was walking a black pit bull on a leash in the 1700 block of S. 26th Street.
A juvenile on a scooter rode past the dog and its handler before the child felt pain in one of their legs. Police say the juvenile looked down and saw a puncture in their leg and realized the dog bit them.
The child returned home to treat the wound while the dog’s owner continued walking.
The pit bull owner was wearing blue jeans, a gray sweatshirt, and a red-and-tan baseball hat.
