A survivor and victim of human trafficking in the Sheboygan area is sharing their story.
The Sheboygan County Human Trafficking Task Force is amplifying this message to let other victims know that help is available and that healing is possible.
The unnamed human trafficking survivor started their statement by stating, “I want to thank the Sheboygan task force and everyone that helped me with my case and gave me support.”
They continued to say, “I was in a very dark place, addicted to drugs with no escape. I met people who helped me see that I had really bad things happening to me, and though I took a lot of work, I am in a better place now. You helped me find a change in my life.”
In response, the task force said they are honored to walk alongside those seeking safety, healing, and empowerment, including this victim, who was helped out of a life of human trafficking in Sheboygan County.
