The United Way of Manitowoc County is inviting families to an event aimed at tackling early childhood literacy.
On Saturday, November 8th, families are invited to stop by The Nook, located at 211 North 9th Street in Manitowoc, for a special reading of Bob’s Birthday Blobs by local children’s author Naomi Raddatz.
Following the reading, children will have the opportunity to participate in an art project inspired by the story.
Signed copies of Bob’s Birthday Blobs will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting United Way’s Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
Representatives from United Way and Women United will be available to talk with parents about how the Imagination Library supports school readiness, a lifelong love of reading, and how to enroll your child in the program.
The event will run from 10:30 to noon, and attendees will have a chance to win one of three copies of Bob’s Birthday Blobs.
Those with questions or who want to learn about other ways to support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program are encouraged to call United Way Manitowoc County at (920) 682-8888.
