A new daycare and a new wrecker service are coming to Manitowoc.
The Manitowoc Common Council approved two conditional use permits for Muddy Boots Daycare to take over the former Manitowoc Eye Clinic in the 4800 block of Expo Drive, while Bret’s Towing will be coming next to the Superior Liquor store on S. Frontage Road.
For the daycare, they will be offering services for 15 to 20 children and will later expand the number of children monthly as staff are brought in.
They’re hoping to be able to take care of about 100 kids in the future, according to a memo from the Manitowoc Plan Commission.
The hours of operation would be from 6:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Bret’s Towing would provide services for both the Manitowoc Police Department and the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office.
Law enforcement impounds cars due to arrest or parking violations and are usually released within a week.
The vehicles will be stored in a secure site while two to five tow trucks will be parked in the same area.
Some vehicles could also be disposed of after a certain period of time.
