A Manitowoc man with a history of intoxicated driving and resisting police is back in jail.
24-year-old Randy J. Tepiew-Wright was before Court Commissioner Patricia Koppa Thursday afternoon after being arrested on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Felony Bail Jumping.
The state requested a $20,000 cash bail, citing the eight open cases, which include seven counts of Operating While Revoked, two counts of Resisting or Obstructing an officer, his second and third OWIs, Fleeing or Eluding an Officer, and 31 counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
His defense attorney asked for a lesser bond, citing his residency in Manitowoc, his enrollment at Lakeshore College, and a potential job prospect.
However, Commissioner Koppa sided with the state, giving Tepiew-Wright a $20,000 cash bond with the conditions that he maintain absolute sobriety, not operate a motor vehicle, not possess any dangerous weapons, and to have no contact with any drug dealers or drug users.
Tepiew-Wright was arrested most recently on October 21st, when an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had rolled through a stop sign at North 21st and Rankin Streets.
During the stop, he admitted to ingesting Methamphetamine, and a search of a backpack in the vehicle uncovered three baggies of Meth weighing in at 68.7 grams, $1,310 in cash, and some items of drug paraphernalia.
Tepiew-Wright is due back in court on Monday, October 27th at 1:30 p.m. in Branch 2.
