Authorities in Appleton have apprehended numerous individuals on charges related to child sexual assault.
The Appleton Police Department, in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Service, arrested 33-year-old Cody J. Williquette and 51-year-old Michael L. Walls. Both individuals were taken into custody on multiple counts of First-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child.
In a separate incident, both Appleton PD and U.S. Marshals again partnered to locate and apprehend a wanted sex offender.
While the sex offender’s identity was not provided, authorities stated that he had been evading arrest until being taken into custody last week.
The Appleton Police Department noted, “This coordinated effort underscores the effective collaboration between agencies, ensuring that dangerous offenders are quickly identified and brought into custody.”
At the same time, they also encouraged Appleton residents and anyone throughout Northeastern Wisconsin to remain vigilant and to report any information related to suspected child abuse or exploitation.
