Hours at Lincoln Park Zoo in Manitowoc will change this winter.
The Manitowoc Common Council approved the change, which used to be open Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., after November 1st.
Now, Lincoln Park Zoo will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday after that date.
The change comes after zoo staff wanted more time to clean up if a winter storm comes through.
A memo from the Public Infrastructure Committee says adjusting the hours will provide staff with an additional two hours to perform snow and ice removal prior to opening to the public.
