A 37-year-old man has been charged with stalking Wisconsin Supreme Court Chief Justice Jill Karofsky.
Authorities say Ryan Thornton sent numerous threatening emails and made repeated phone calls between August and October.
Allegedly, this was in connection with a dispute with the Office of Lawyer Regulation.
He faces a Class I felony stalking charge and is being held on $85,000 bond.
If released, Thornton would be restricted from entering Dane County except for court appearances and prohibited from contacting Justice Karofsky.
