A major recall has been announced across the nation after products tested positive for Listeria.
The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced that over 90,000 pounds of Los Cabos, El Más Fino, and Midamar-branded breakfast burritos have been recalled.
These products were produced between September 17th, 2025, and October 14th, 2025, and shipped to foodservice locations across the country, including Wisconsin.
Additionally, the products in question are included in the USDA’s National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs, meaning they were also sent to various school districts nationwide as well.
In total, seven different products across the three brands are affected, and they will bear the establishment numbers of EST. 1162A or P-5890A.
The problem came to the attention of the FSIS after eggs contained in the burritos tested positive for Listeria during routine sampling and testing.
At this time, no cases of Listeria have been reported in connection with the consumption of the burritos.
However, any person or institution in possession of the recalled products is urged not to serve them but rather throw them out.
