A woman has been arrested for stealing laundry detergent from the Manitowoc Family Dollar earlier this month.
Manitowoc Police were dispatched to the store at 1130 South 30th Street on October 10th to investigate the theft report.
An employee reported seeing the 24-year-old woman enter the store with a yellow jug of laundry detergent, which was said to not resemble any that are sold at the store.
She later came up to the register with a full bottle of Tide and some other items, which she paid for before asking to return the Tide.
After being told she could not return the Tide, she left with the purchased items and the bottle of detergent without paying for it.
The officer went to the detergent section, where he found the yellow bottle, which had an Ollie’s sticker on it.
They then checked the security footage and recognized the woman from previous contacts. She has since been located and arrested on charges of Misdemeanor Retail Theft and five counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
The woman also has several open drug cases, including one where she is facing a charge of Manufacturing or Delivering Fentanyl.
