Two people were arrested after attempting to steal items from a garage in Two Rivers.
Two River Police Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Turner Street on Monday (October 13th) at 6:30 a.m. for a burglary complaint where two people were found stealing items from the garage.
The suspects, 43-year-old Joleen Johnson and 51-year-old Marvin Gray of Two Rivers, were located in Brown County and detained by the Brown County Sheriff’s deputies, who then turned them over to Two Rivers Police.
Lieutenant Aaron Gauthier says a majority of the stolen property was found in the suspect’s vehicle, seized as evidence, processed, and returned to the victim.
The department didn’t specify which items were taken.
Both Johnson and Gray were taken to the Manitowoc County Jail and are facing charges of burglary and theft.
A felony bail jumping charge was also given to Johnson, while Gray was hit with two additional counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.
The Two Rivers Police Department thanked the Manitowoc County Joint Dispatch Center, Manitowoc Police, Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, Denmark Police, and the brown County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in the investigation.
