A proposed mental health center in Chippewa Falls has cleared a major hurdle.
This week, the city’s Plan Commission approved a conditional use permit for the facility.
It will be located at the intersection of Highway 178 and Beach Drive.
The project, led by Rogers Behavioral Health, includes 14 inpatient and 24 residential rooms.
State lawmakers are also backing the development, with the Wisconsin Senate passing a bill on Tuesday to allocate $10 million in funding.
