A sex offender serving prison time for crimes committed in Sheboygan County has had his Manitowoc County case delayed again.
Court records show that 46-year-old John P. Albright was back in court on Monday (October 13th) for his adjourned initial appearance after it was previously delayed last week.
Albright, the former Assistant Fire Chief in Sheboygan Falls, has been charged in Manitowoc County with one count each of First and Second Degree Sexual Assault of a Child and is currently serving 12 years behind bars after being convicted of Second Degree Sexual Assault of a Child in Sheboygan County earlier this year.
At Monday’s appearance, the 46-year-old asked the court to again delay his initial appearance as he is still searching for legal counsel.
Judge Mark Rohrer honored this request, allowing Albright to have one more week to find a lawyer to represent him in this case.
Court documents also reveal that these charges in Manitowoc County stem from incidents that took place in 1994 and 1997, while being convicted for sexually assaulting a child in Sheboygan County in 2008.
He will return to court for his adjourned initial appearance on October 20th.
