The Sheboygan Common Council has voted to save the Armory. The vote took place at their Monday evening meeting, and the decision allows the Community Armory Project the opportunity to restore the historic building. Scott Crawford Inc, and several members of the Armory Project spoke at length about why the proposal should be supported, but several alders voiced their financial concerns with the idea. In the end the measure passed 13-3, but Alderperson Mary Lynn Donahue cautioned the community that this plan will only work if the residents of Sheboygan continue to rally behind the group.
