The Oshkosh Police Department has given an update on an incident during the “unsanctioned” Pub Crawl near the UW-Oshkosh campus last week.
Officers have found a handgun in the 800 block of Woodland Avenue that may have been involved in the disturbance that happened in the 800 block of Scott Avenue.
The department said they are also no longer looking for a black and grey backpack, which they said might have been thrown during a pursuit with one suspect.
A 17-year-old from Neenah and a 20-year-old from Ripon were taken into custody during the Pub Crawl, which is seen by Oshkosh Police as a bi-annual event resulting in an increase in house parties in the area behind the campus.
The 17-year-old was originally approached by police officers after they got a call about a gun being pointed at people around Scott Avenue and Cherry Street around 11:10 p.m. on October 11th.
The person was arrested after he started resisting police and tried to pull something from his pants.
A gun was later found underneath the teen.
A second incident involved an officer going to a hospital for a non-life-threatening head injury.
After that, the 20-year-old Ripon man was arrested after being chased.
