Two individuals are in custody after a police chase early Monday morning that involved gunfire aimed at West Allis officers.
Authorities say the incident began around 1:00 a.m. when officers responded to reports of suspicious activity near 70th and Madison.
After locating a suspect SUV near 70th and Greenfield, officers attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled.
During the pursuit, someone inside the SUV fired several shots at officers.
The chase ended near Glenview and Wisconsin in Wauwatosa, where the suspects were apprehended.
A firearm was recovered from the vehicle.
