Residents in the City of Sheboygan will have one last chance to dispose of unwanted large items this year.
The final large item collection event hosted by the Sheboygan Department of Public Works will be held on October 18th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the City’s Municipal Service Building.
This event is free and open to all Sheboygan residents, but proof of residency will be required.
Those interested will be able to get rid of items not available to be thrown out with common trash collection, including household furniture, mattresses and box springs, scrap metal, and other miscellaneous junk.
Items that will not be accepted next weekend will include hazardous waste, tires, construction materials like drywall or paint, freon appliances, or yard waste.
As a reminder, the DPW has noted that all items brought to the event for disposal must be unloaded by the owner.
The Municipal Service Building is located at 2026 New Jersey Avenue.
