As reported on the AAA Gas Prices website, Manitowoc County’s average price per gallon of regular unleaded fuel is nine cents less expensive when compared to this time last week, coming in at $2.73.
That is the lowest price the county has seen since the calendar turned over to 2025.
In fact, all of the counties in our area set new 2025 lows except for one.
Brown County saw a six-cent drop from last week to $2.73, which is two cents more expensive than the county average in the second week of August.
Meanwhile, Sheboygan County’s average is down five cents to $2.70, and Calumet County reported a seven-cent dip to $2.74.

The state average is down seven cents to $2.74, and the national average fell a nickel to $3.11.
Wisconsin also has the 6th lowest average in the country, behind only Tennessee, Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Mississippi, and Oklahoma, which has the least expensive fuel in the nation at $2.60.
